Dredgers

For the series Dredgers I used a polaroid filmtechnique and a greenisch filter to create an illustrious atmosphere. At first this didn’t seem to work but when I added sand and grit to the negatives,  which I found and took from the places were I had taken the photograph, and created a lot of scratches the result had the same effect on me when I first looked at these huge sand castles lying in the water. It also gave the series a more homogenic atmosphere as well. At these dredge spots this industry changes the environment forever. After the sand is excavated the area turns in to a gigantic artificial water landscape. This is also a human process that has to do with change and influence by people on their invironment.
